cute but too slowJun 24, 2008 I have 3 month old son and he likes when things move little bit faster than this mobile. He watches it for a little while and than looses interest also the song is a little bit too loud but this is a matter of opinion. If I could listen and watch the mobile before I would probably not buy it. The characters are cute and the frog will be useful. Might be we will get used to it.
Can't Hear the MusicMar 06, 2008 This is a cute looking travel mobile with fun, moveable pices, but that's about it. The mobile turns so slowly, that I almost fall asleep watching it. Additionally, the audio is terrible. It is clear, but it is very difficult to hear it unless you literally put your ear to it. I wish I hadn't bought this toy, for now it just sits in the toy box collecting dust.
Lifesaver!Jan 29, 2008 This mobile is GREAT! It will strap on to my daughter's car seat and her baby papasan, giving her entertainment that is often much needed so I can cook, etc. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that you have to wind it up pretty often and it just plays the same song over and over (How much is that doggie in the window)
Lifesaver!!!Jan 21, 2008 The gods were smiling down upon me the day I discovered this little gem on the shelf at our local store! AAAAHHHHH! There it was...the answer to our traveling woes! This thing keeps my little one happy in the car and is therefore worth its weight in gold....but look at that price tag!!! Get this NOW!

Travel toy serviceable for short-term amusementDec 18, 2007 My daughter preferred another portable mobile, by Infantino, with no music but where the strings holding the dangly toys were longer and therefore more fun to bat. I think that was preferred because it had more black and white stripes than this. At about 6 weeks of age, she started liking this more -- perhaps the music was too much for her in the beginning?? -- and now she prefers it, I think because of the music.
She likes grabbing the dragonfly -- that black and white fixation. Note that the wings of the dragonfly and the feet of the frog (intended as a pacifier holder, but used in our family as another add-on to the Gymini, also by Tiny Love) make crinkly sounds when rubbed between baby's little fingers.
The musical component of this is an old-fashioned music box sound, which I prefer to some of the more electronic (tinny) options out there. However, this particular tune ("How Much Is the Doggie in the Mirror") can get on a mama's nerves.
I wear this as a bracelet and hang it over her face to amuse her, but it is a bit heavy after a while. However, it is small enough to take along in the diaper bag.
Recommended if you are looking for a travel toy for short term amusment, except for very newborns.
