snappy seatDec 15, 2006 Pros:
1.It has Side Impact protection for my baby's head!
2.It snaps into the base easily (there is no way to get it crooked)
3.It snaps into the stroller very easily (you can put it in on 2 different settings if you remove the front bar...reclined or sitting up)
4.It is very easy to adjust especially if sometimes the baby is in a snow suit and sometimes just a thin outfit. The height of the shoulder strap and the strap length can be adjusted in 3 seconds each.
5.My 17 pound 3 month old baby fits in it nicely (it is not too narrow for him)although for the last month the shoulder height has been at the maximum (he has very short legs but is tall shoulder to butt). I will be sad when he gains 4 more pounds and I have to stop using it.
6.It is easy to buckle and unbuckle so you can get the baby in and out quickly.
Cons:
1.The angle of seat is not very reclined (yes I read the instructions on how to install it correctly), difficult for your 2 day old baby but great for your 3 month old.
2.When used without the base it is not very convenient, you have to put the baby in and then strap the seat into the car with the adult belt and the slits you put the belt in are not quite as wide as most US seatbelts (difficult to get the belt in smoothly), and to get the baby out you have to unbuckle the adult belt and then the car seat belt. (the base is very convenient)
3.If you baby has a very big belly the adult seatbelt touches his stomach when buckled in without the base...this is probably a safety concern so I always use it with the base.
4.It is on the heavy side at 10 pounds but when you put your 15 pound baby in it what is the difference between 23 and 25 pounds. All babies in car seats are heavy!
5.It does not fit into the front seat of grocery carts easily (or generally safely) it fits ok onto the new Target carts (but don't drive it with the sun shade up...you have a very big blind spot in front of you) but it does not fit onto the babies R us carts at all.

Primo Viaggio SIP (Toffee)Aug 25, 2006 Couldn't compare with any other infant seats because this is my first one...
A bit on the heavy side, even for a male, to carry around...
A bit pricey, compared to other infant car seats...
Cool colors to match strollers, nice fabric, excellent safety rating, but then again, so are other cheaper infant car seats..
Overall, you're paying for looks and the prestige of having an infant car seat that costs more than others, except Bugaboo...
It's like buying an Acura over a Honda and Lexus over a Toyota...
