Safe, easy to adjust and easy to CLEAN!Jun 17, 2008 I bought this car seat for my 12 month old after searching and searching for the best at a low price. Not everyone can afford the Britax.
We call this seat the, "Lazyboy". It's big and cushy.
We have a Dodge Minivan with captains chairs. I don't know why some reviewers thought it was too big, but the seat fits just fine in my mini van. I'm using it forward facing. It's also lightweight and easy to carry around if needed.
I was looking for something safe, yet was easy to use and easy to clean.
Top things I like about the car seat:
*No-thread adjustable straps and uses turn of a knob system for tightening
*Latch system for easy installation and safety
*Easy to clean seat cover (uses velcro) and removable seat cushion on top of the cover, plus has a headrest
*Reclining mode for sleeping
*Cushy for comfort
I can't say enough about the removable pad under the child that I've had to clean once due to a leaky diaper. I only had to clean the pad, which comes right out. If I need to clean the whole seat cover, it comes right off because of the velcro. How easy is that?!
It has straps that are super easy to adjust with a turn of the knob. The knob moves easily to loosen or tighten. There are 2 knobs but you only need to use one to tighten/loosen. It's convenient that you can turn the knob depending on what side of the seat you're on. You can easily change the height for a growing child by sliding the no-thread straps up and down. There are red tabs on the straps indicating where they should go on the top of the childs shoulder. There is even an adjustable crotch strap. One is closer to the childs legs and one moves further away as they grow. Perfect! I had read other reviews about it being tight on the childs legs, but I'm wondering if they just didn't realize that the crotch strap had 2 adjustments.
I like that I can recline the seat while my daughter is sleeping. Without reclining, I haven't noticed her head bobbing at all either.
I haven't found one thing that I can say negative about this seat except maybe the cup holder seeming a bit flimsy.
Great featuresMar 04, 2008 The first thing that attracted me to this seat is that I could easily adjust the straps to fit at shoulder level. I have had NO problems with the dials. Extending rear facing as long as possible is a huge priority for me, so the 35 pound RF limit was very attractive over the usual 30 pound RF limits. My child will be able to be in a 5 point harness a lot longer... up to 50 pounds, which is at least a year more than standard 40 lb harness. This seat is comfortable, and easy for me to use, which makes using car seats THE RIGHT WAY EVERY TIME much easier. As an added bonus, it is pretty nice looking, and VERY easy to install. My car seat tech loves this seat... Any seat that can harness beyond the standard 40 pounds is a cut above in my book.

We love it!Feb 06, 2008 We have this carseat for each of our kids-- a 2 year old and a 10 month old. We have one installed forward facing and one rear facing. They were so easy to install both ways. I think the harness adjuster is easy to use. I love that the harness slides up and down instead of having to re-thread it through slots. I love that it will harness my kids longer than many convertible car seats because of the higher weight limit and higher harness straps. I just love it all around!!!
Edited to add: I just realized that my "name" is "Disappointed Mommy", but that's because of the only other review I've written. I'm definitely not disappointed in the Triumph Advance at all!
Comfortable Seat for BabyDec 26, 2007 I am using the seat rear facing with my 9 month old. The seat was OK to install, and once everything was adjusted, my child is cofortable and easy to move in and out. I bought the seat before a 3.5 hour car ride and she did not fuss a bit. Although I only buckle and unbuckle the straps to get her in and out, the belt release would be a bit hard to use while rear facing. In my Town & Country it is jammed against the seat. But like I said, there is no need to loosen the belts once it is adjusted properly. I only have to buckle and unbukle her and the straps always stay in place.

great quality great priceDec 09, 2007 I own this carseat and half a big 8 month old daughter. thru my reasearch it is just as good as britax but half the price. I feel that my daughter is very safe. The cons, it is very wide so you cannot stick a carseat write next to it, maybe a backless booster seat. The straps do not com off but the cover detaches and then de velcroes. I bought a carseat cover and could not put one on due to that. But it is very comfy and roomy and safe.
