It has its own internal 5-point safety harness for children weighing up to 40 pounds, and later uses your vehicle's belts. It may not span an entire generation, but this booster car seat will definitely secure your child until he's ready to ride with just your car's belts. One of the key features on the Evenflo Generations booster seat is its three-position harness height adjuster. The adjustment is made using a knob on the side of the booster. It also includes the LATCH anchorage system for easy installation. LATCH connectors attach to factory installed anchor points near the seatbelt connectors in the back seat of cars. It is a feature found on all cars made after 2001-2. The Evenflo Generations Harnessed Booster is lightweight, has all the top safety features, and is a comfortable ride for your precious child. | | | Features: | |

Good for your second car, not everyday useMay 17, 2008 When my my daughter grew out of her Evenflo Triumph (around when she turned 3) I went looking for a similar 5 pt harness seat that converted to a booster. I was thrilled when I found this as it was very affordable and I thought had all the features I loved, but it did not translate into as nice a car seat as her Triumph was. First off, the loosen/tighten turn knobs are so close to the actual car seat that adjusting them is very difficult, one feature I absolutely loved on the Triumph. Second, it is not as padded so she was a bit uncomfortable at times. The clencher though was when we drove 1500 miles to visit family and she could not sleep b/c this doesn't recline. She was so miserable that we bought an Alpha Omega for the trip home and she's been using that ever since!(she's now 5 years old). Now we use this seat for my husband's car or Grandma's car. It works, it's safe, just not very easy or convienient. On the upside, it is considerably lighter than the Triumph.

Satisfied with purchaseMar 04, 2008 I have purchased two of these same carseats (one for each vehicle) and am satisfied with the ease of its use. I have a small toddler who fits in it well and find it fairly easy to adjust and install.

I love this seat!Jan 01, 2008 Great for the price. I have the Bolero, which is the stripped down version of the Generations seat. Because the top slats for the harness are higher than most seats, this is great for a taller child or a child with a long torso. A child outgrows their harness when their shoulders are above where the straps come out of the back of the seat, so with higher slats this will keep your child harnessed (safer!) longer. My 4 year old loves the cup holder, it's a little flimsy but we never spill... she just likes having something to put in it. The harness is easy to buckle and has adjusters on the side to make every trip a perfect fit. This seat grows with your child and turns into a belt positioning booster when she outgrows the harness. Has more side impact protection than some similar seats, although if you use the pillow (which is really pointless) your child's head will still droop forward.
The only thing I do not like about this seat is that the harness is only usable to 40 lbs, while some seats (like Britax) can keep your child harnessed longer. Since a harness is safer for EVERYONE that is something of a drawback, but it's still a good seat for a lower weight child, a low income budget, or a back-up seat.

Great "second" carseat.Oct 25, 2007 Our son does not mind sitting in this carseat. I like that it turns into a booster seat later and for now we just use it as our second carseat (although it's become our primary carseat lately). The only two negatives about it are:
~The bottom of the 5 point harness system is not too comfy on his legs/between the legs.
~If he ever falls asleep in it, there is not much support for the head.

Not what I was expecting...Mar 20, 2007 After loving our Evenflo titan carseat for its comfort, ease of use, etc., we are VERY disappointed with the generations booster seat.
Positives: not much
-- Fairly easy to strap child in
-- Cupholder
Negative:
-- Seat Cover: Ridiculously difficult to remove and wash
-- Head Rest / Restraint: Does not support sleeping child AT ALL. Our daughter is left to basically "dangle" and sway as the vehicle moves.
We are looking for a different car seat as we speak.
