Not exactly small, but great!Jun 30, 2008 My twins are very comfortable in these seats. We switched when they were about 7.5 months old. My daughter is very petite, and still looked so tiny in the seat when we first moved her. I'm skeptical at the claim that it acommodates as small as 5 lbs, but I suppose I've never tried.
Installation was not difficult once I really understood what was going on. [...]. Just make sure you really sit or kneel on it when you're tightening the LATCH connectors, so that it gets tight enough to not move around.
At any rate, we have two of these, my kids love them, and I can tell they'll be around for a good long time. The harness is easy to operate, the velcro tabs on the side are handy so you aren't always digging the straps out from under the child.
Excellent Seat for the MoneyJun 27, 2008 I never take the time to write a review for the products I purchase - just not time it seems, but this car seat is well worth it. From what I understand, the Britax models all have higher crash standard than the Graco's, Evenflos, etc. Yes, it is pricey, but even me being a penny pincher felt I got every bit of my money's worth. Easy to assemble, easy to install, easy to wash...Plus, I was able to find a dicontinued style (just the maternial was no longer being manufactored in that design) on the internet and that helped with the cost. High recommended.
AwesomeJun 26, 2008 We love the Britax seats. This is our 5th one (still use the 1st one we bought and all in between). They are worth the price.
Love it, love it, love it! Best carseat manufacturer indeed!Jun 22, 2008 Our older son had Wizard, Decathlon and now Parkway, all made by Britax. Needless to say, why we went with Marathon with our younger little man. Absolutely amazing qualify and comfort and, most importantly, safety ratings!
PS Despite the fact that we are huge Britax fans, their infant carseats are horrific - huge, heavy and uncomfortable.
Love it!Jun 15, 2008 I had been eyeing the Britax Marathon since I first became pregnant. I didn't want to spend too much on a car seat, but the high safety reviews of this brand/model made my decision easier. I found a great deal on this car seat several months later and couldn't pass it up. While the car seat is a little larger than I expected, it is still easy to use. The installation is a breeze and it is more secure than her previous car seat. She is currently 5 months and seems to be very comfortable in it. I love the fact that she can use it up to 65 pounds. Another great feature is the velcro tabs that keep the straps out of the way while I put my daughter in the seat. The tabs also help to keep the straps from twisting. My only regret is that I did not purchase another one when I came across that deal!
